cultural festival

I went to the Owairaka district school Cultural festival. I was in the Mexican group.

The festival was at Rocket Park. It started at 9.05 am on Saturday. I did it because I wanted to and I thought it might be fun and guess what it was fun! My experience was everything is fun well not EVERYTHING.

We wrote s our own similes because we read a book called 'Jason's extraordinary hair' witch had lots similes in it. A simile is a type of figurative language.

Diwali 2017

Diwali is a festival of lights and it is the celebration of new year. it is India's most inportent celebration.
it gives a two week holiday to every one. one one of theses days every body sweeps away all the bad luck and open all doors and windows. it is also a Hindu celebration.
facts:
1. It is celebrated on the 23 of October.
2. Diwali is a also a big shopping festival
3. It takes 40-43 seconds to put on.
4. It is called a sari.
5. The bells that are on the feet are so heavy the bells are 7kg
The performance was AWESOME!! it took about 30-60 minutes.
